Google dishes out new doodle to celebrate and begin the new year celebration

Its 6:30 PM IST
And Google has doodled a new logo for the upcoming new year 2011 celebrations.Here is an Image

The M is for value of 1000

X for 10

I for 1

So M+M+X+I = 1000+1000+10+1 = 2011

(I have added a countdown widget check it out)

So with that i wish you all a happy and a prosperous new year, don't get hit by a bus (just jokin, wait i seriously dont mean, aarrgh!)

Google launches new search doodle to commemorate diverse cultures in this festive eve

Google has just launched its new web search doodle displaying some of the exquisite places and cultures around the world.

There are 17 images in collage form to show the diversity.

Here is the names of the images in clockwise

1.St. Basil's Cathedral

2.Acropolis

3.Mt. Fuji

4.Great Wall of China

5.Sahara desert

6.Sydney Harbour

7.Venice gondolas (or boats)

8.Chilean vineyards

9 "Up on the housetop" (a Christmas song written by Benjamin Hanby in 1864 in the town of New Paris, Ohio.)

10.Henna lamp or Moroccan lamp
11.African kanga (a colourful garment similar to kitenge, worn by women and occasionally by men throughout Eastern Africa.

12.Nepal

13.Chili pepper

14.Oud ( a pear-shaped stringed instrument commonly used in Middle Eastern music (arabic).

15.Indian dance styles

Why are prices of commodities rising in india?

It was only a month back when the price rise began on food grains but now its raising for all commodities incessantly.One reason could be shortage.India was known to have the least prices on vegetables and fuel oil but now it has changed.

As we know India is home to many non-taxpayers and due this the government faces huge losses every year and they are unable to properly provide proper amenities to people

And guess what the people just dont get this and blame the govt. for everything

Dont they understand from the ad that 'you pay the nation and the nation pays you back'

Could it be that the government is trying to get money from people who are not paying taxes?^*

*corrupt officials are another concern

India vs. New Zealand 4th ODI at Chinaswamy Stadium,Bengaluru

It was 7 of December 2010 and though India had taken a lead in the series New Zealand was playing for pride and both the teams were geared up to lock horns in fantastic display of skill and honor.
I had bunked school just to watch the match, don't ask which stand.
Well everything seemed just fine, the kiwis and the men in blue got out onto the field for their pre-match practice.
The Indian team looked cool and joyously played football while the kiwis were stern and keen on practice.

Finally India won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first.

Though i did not support any team in particular and wanted to enjoy the game the kiwis seemed to have an upper hand with 315
Ross Taylor could not manage many fours or sixers as he was not in form.

The main wickets were taken by Y. Pathan and R Ashwin
But kiwis were dominating but not until Parthiv Patel and Gambhir came out to perform brilliantly not until getting out.

It was then that Yusuf and Tiwary saved the show by playing some of the best strokes i have seen.Sadly i came after the drizzle started and watched the game at my home.
But i brought back many memories here are some of it.
